Mega Distributions is the international distribution arm of Alter Ego Media, representing the premium catalog of MEGA TV, Greece’s leading commercial broadcaster and most iconic television brand.
As the first private TV channel in Greece, MEGA has shaped modern Greek television for over three decades, building one of the country’s richest libraries while consistently investing in ambitious, high-quality original productions. Since its acquisition by Alter Ego Media in 2019, MEGA has entered a new creative era—strengthening its slate of contemporary drama, limited series, and large-scale period productions, while maintaining full ownership of its intellectual property.
Mega Distributions was established to bring these stories to the global market. Our mission is simple: to position Greek originals as premium international content, defined by strong storytelling, cinematic production values, and cultural authenticity with universal appeal.
MEGA’s series have already proven their ability to travel. Maestro in Blue became the first Greek series to premiere globally on Netflix. Silent Road aired in prime time across multiple international territories. Milky Way, created by Palme d’Or winner Vasilis Kekatos, premiered at Series Mania and secured international distribution. These successes reflect a broader creative resurgence in Greece—and MEGA’s central role in it.
Our catalog spans limited crime dramas, epic family sagas, contemporary thrillers,
period series, and long-running hits, including titles such as The Innocents, Terra Olivae,
Heat, Shipwreck, and The Island. Each project is developed and produced in-house, ensuring
creative consistency, production excellence, and flexible licensing opportunities for partners
worldwide.
