Synopsis
Crete, 1980s. At a village celebration, young Pavlis is drawn to Despo. That same night, Despo is brutally attacked by a German stranger. Pavlis finds her injured and becomes her protector. When Despo discovers she is pregnant as a result of the assault, Pavlis makes a life-changing decision: he will marry her and raise the child as his own. The boy is named Manousos.
