Synopsis

Milky Way is an eight-episode limited series following 17-year-old Maria, a small-town high school senior whose dream of becoming a dancer is derailed when she unexpectedly becomes pregnant by Tasos, her aimless boyfriend who works at the local gas station. As her family and friends rally around her—assuming she’ll choose motherhood—Maria faces a life-defining decision: embrace the path laid out for her, or fight for the future she has always imagined.

Created by Palme d’Or winner Vasilis Kekatos, Milky Way made its global premiere in the Official Competition of Series Mania Festival 2023, selected among the eight best limited series worldwide.
